Introduction

‘Since 2016, Imenco has delivered its unique Pile Gripper solutions to more than 160 jackets in the global Offshore Wind industry’

What is its functionality?

The system may be delivered in various configurations and functionalities.

•Hydraulic Cylinders and accumulators absorb landing loads
•Possibility for vertical levelling may be incorporated
•Clamps lock jacket to pile, and jacket can be left at site
•Heavy lift vessel is then free to leave site
•System controls relative movement between pile and
jacket through grouting and “Early Age Cycling” phase
•It provides electrical continuity between jacket and pile

What are its benefits?

As compared to more ‘conventional’ Pile Gripper solutions, the Imenco Pile Gripper provides unique, value-adding benefits:

•Much smaller in size and weight

•Can be transported around the world (sea and land) in regular 20’’ and 40’’ containers

•Does not have to be installed onto the jacket early in the jacket-fabrication process

•Provides superior ‘stiffness’ (EAC&OBS), and allows for optimized/reduced need for Heavy-Lift Vessel
